About

After attending hundreds of film festivals worldwide, IFFC Founders and Executive Directors Lawrence David Foldes & Victoria Paige Meyerink were inspired to create this new film festival by their passion and love for the art and craft of visual storytelling.

Foldes and Meyerink are award-winning filmmakers and members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, and it’s Awards Executive Committee.  Their latest feature “Finding Home” has won numerous honors including 5 Best Picture Awards, and was hailed by Rex Reed of The New York Observer as “Honest and relevant, intense and riveting, it’s a cause for rejoicing!”  NBC-TV’s Jeffrey Lyons calls this powerful emotional journey “Absorbing, it will touch you deeply” and CBS proclaims it “One of the best pictures of the year!”

Their previous features include the cult classic “Malibu High”, and action hit “Young Warriors”.  Since 1991, they have served on the faculty and as Film Program Advisors at The International Film & TV Workshops in Rockport, Maine.  Meyerink is also a well-known former child star who co-starred with Danny Kaye on his popular CBS-TV Variety Series, co-starred with Elvis Presley in the MGM feature “Speedway,” Paramount’s “Night of the Grizzly,” and in numerous other features and television series including “Green Acres,” “My Three Sons,” and “Family Affair.”

The IFFC is unique in that it is the first international film festival founded and run by veteran filmmakers and AMPAS members.
